Acts: Go & Be Chapters 1-9Намуна

What is this passage saying?
One of the men appointed by the apostles to serve the widows was a man named Stephen. He was man that we see had the qualifications of being of good reputation and filled with The Holy Spirit. When the opposition came to him, because he was filled with The Holy Spirit, they could not dispute his message. But the opposition didn’t give up there, they spread lies about Stephen saying, he was a man of blasphemy. When he was on trial, they brought false witnesses to testify against him.
What is this passage teaching?
Being filled with The Holy Spirit and believing in Jesus won’t keep you out of harms way. This man was fulfilling the will of God and was found blameless, but the enemy didn’t let that stop the trial. There may be times in your life, when you have done nothing wrong, but trials will still be surrounding you. Don’t let this discourage you from the work that is set before you. Let this be a validation of your salvation.
How do I respond?
Be bold and filled with The Holy Spirit, be faithful, and don’t be discouraged when trials come your way.
