No Regrets Living: Part III
This series discusses the different seasons of life and how to live them with purpose and no regrets. The 4th quarter of life is typically for those who are 60-80 years old.
This is the season to turn your attention from yourself to others. It’s time to leave a legacy.
Leaving a spiritual and financial legacy is a worthwhile pursuit. This requires being proactive and intentional in pouring your wisdom into others who will hopefully follow in your footsteps.
Titus 2:2 says, “Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.”
As you age, recognize that you have much to offer the younger people within your organization, especially if you have been self-controlled and worthy of respect.
Additional Questions For Reflection
- How would you define a legacy? What legacies have you seen or experienced in your life? And what key characteristics did the positive ones have?
- What knowledge do you think ought to be passed down? What makes said knowledge so valuable? What wisdom have you been given that has stood the test of time?
- What things do you wish your elders had taught you and what do you wish they had not? Why? What is the difference between the two?
