40 Days of Prayer & FastingНамуна

Fasting + Adoration
Fasting and adoration may not be your typical ways of connecting with God, but we can connect with Him in so many ways.
In your time with God today, connect with Him through fasting and adoration. Exalt Him above what you’re denying yourself. Spend time declaring that He is Holy and worthy of your praise. We worship the Lord because of who He is, not in response to our feelings. You will be tempted but use that temptation as a reminder to set your eyes on the Lord. You may not feel like pouring your love out on Him, but push past how you are feeling and make sure that He feels you. No matter what you are feeling or missing, He is still worthy of your praise.
Prayer: God, I enter into Your presence with thanksgiving. Even when my flesh doesn’t feel like it or I’m uncomfortable, I bring an offering of praise with my fasting and with my words. You are the highest authority. You are worthy of everything I am giving up and more. I set aside my own feelings and declare that Your love is better than life. I bless Your name and Your praises will continually be on my lips, no matter the circumstances. Amen.
About this Plan

Fasting is a spiritual discipline that calls us to deny the desires of our flesh and fill ourselves up with God, His Word, and His presence. Over the next 40 days, we will grow in intimacy with God, position ourselves to be in His perfect will, and learn about His dunamis power in our daily personal encounters.
