Caught In The Middle (Keep Away)
Have you ever played the game in which a person is in the middle of a group trying to get the ball being thrown around? The writer of Psalms tells us of his dilemma. The Psalmist describes the picture where he is in the middle (Israel) of two geographical regions, Meshech (to the north) and Kedar (to the south). Can you feel his frustration and anxiety - "Woe to me"? He was surrounded by warmongers, lying lips, and deceitful tongues. The good news is he cried unto the Lord and the distressful call was answered! We have this example to follow and be delivered from such frustration.
Prayer: Lord, there is so much talk of war, strife, and all the evil associated with it. Deliver me from evil and allow me to have perfect peace to trust in you. Please let my speech be your words of grace and truth. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
