Finding Purpose During Your Time with God

God has created each of us to fulfill a specific purpose. Yes, even you! We search for this elusive purpose in our jobs, books, other people, and many other avenues. The one place we don’t look - or the last place we look - is to the One who created us. God placed purpose in us before we were in our mother’s womb. He had a destiny designed with our name on it before our parents met each other. The purpose we seek to fill that gaping hole in our souls can only be found in fellowship with God.

When we commit to prayer in that solitary place, that secret place, that certain place, we will hear God speak purpose to us. We will hear Him speak life-changing words in that place. We will feel His presence surround us and drop words of wisdom in our souls that seem impossible and improbable and are in our own strength. But God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV).

We must resist the temptations of the world that try to keep us from getting to that place of power. That solitary place where we form an intimate connection with God. That solitary place where a relationship with the Father is built. That solitary place where healing from the wounds of the world is found. That solitary place where purpose is revealed. That solitary place where direction is received so we can make our God-given mark on the world.

Seek the presence of God, and He will reveal your divine purpose. You’ve got to love it when your date comes bearing gifts!
