The Armor of GodНамуна

The Armor of God: Part I
As followers of Jesus, we do have an enemy. The world doesn’t like discussing the devil, but he is real and amazingly adept at deceiving us.
The Apostle Paul knew we needed to be prepared for enemy attacks. That is why Paul gave us tools that he labeled the armor of God in Ephesians 6.
In the workplace, evil people can try to destroy you with lies. The enemy is masterful at twisting truth into a lie, omitting the context, or blatantly deceiving others.
In Ephesians 6:14, Paul wrote, “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.”
The truth is your friend. When someone spreads lies about you, be prepared to share the truth, and trust God with the result.
Questions For Reflection
- Has someone ever lied about you? Were they successful in convincing others of their lie, and if not, why?
- Think of a time when you either lied or considered lying in business. If you chose to lie, was there a price to pay, and was the price worth it? If you decided not to, what stopped you?
- Have you ever caught someone or a business in a lie? How did it affect your view of that individual or company?
