Peace of Mind: Back-to-School Reflections, Declarations, and PrayersНамуна
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP)
As we send our children back to school, it is easy to become anxious about their risk for kidnapping, school shootings, bullying, and various unfortunate events. The All-knowing and All-powerful God has an open invitation for us to come to Him for our peace of mind and children's protection. Don’t BE anxious. Don’t let anxiety overshadow you.
Philippians 4:6-7 shows us what to do instead of worrying and fearing that evil may befall our children. God wants us to make our requests known with prayer and thanksgiving. Today, we will thank God for what he has done and what he will do. We will request grace, wisdom, favor, and protection for our children. We will speak over our children with the blessings of the breasts and the womb, make decrees as royal members of God’s family, and remind the enemy that we already have victory and will not bow to fear.
Thanksgiving: Father, thank you for my children's health. Thank you for protecting my children since the beginning of the year. You protect them when I am present and absent. Thank you for my children's sound minds and capacity to learn. Thank you, Father, for providing the finances to take care of my children. I am grateful for all you have done. I thank you that my children's future is secure in you. Thank you for sending your angels before my children to keep them from harm. Thank you for giving them exceptional wisdom and favor with their teachers.
Keep thanking God for the past and future you desire.
Prayer Request: Father, I ask for the grace to not worry. I come before your throne of grace, and I ask for mercy. Forgive me for the times I worried about my family due to unbelief. Help my unbelief! In the name of Jesus, teach and empower me to give thanks always and pray without ceasing. Father, give my children exceptional wisdom to excel and navigate difficult relationships. Give my children favor with their peers, teachers, and everyone they interact with this school year. Let my children be attracted to children with gentle spirits, compassionate and godly children. By the power of the Holy Spirit, help my children to stand for truth and be a light to others. I ask all these in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Father, for answering my prayers.
Let's Decree and Declare the following:
In the name of Jesus, my children will not be victims of kidnapping, molestation, racism, bullying, and every evil lurking around to destroy their lives. I plead the blood of Jesus for a defense against the enemy's arrows and sudden death. By the power in the name of Jesus, my children are exempted from the enemy’s attempts to steal, kill, and destroy them. I decree and declare that no weapon formed against my children shall prosper. Because I am in a covenant relationship with Jesus, my children will experience great peace in their spirit, soul, and body. Because I am righteous in Christ Jesus, my children are blessed in their going out and coming in.
Let's give God praise for His faithfulness!
