Worried About the Recession? 3 Biblical Keys You Must RememberНамуна
I want to kick off this devotional with one of my all-time favorite verses: Philippians 4:19.
Here is the paraphrase from the Message version: “You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus.”
We must remember that most people's primary sources of information - social media and news outlets - generate their money from our attention.
And people pay far more attention to what scares them or makes them nervous.
So it should be no surprise that the world is panicking and yelling that the sky is falling.
But here is the thing.
God’s economy has never been stronger. His economy is not shaken by gas prices, inflation, market crashes, recessions, or anything else.
His economy will always be strong.
And one of the best things I have done to counteract the fear the world is spewing all around us is to memorize this verse and keep it on my lips.
As believers, we are kids of the King. We have a heavenly father who is infinitely better than the best earthly father.
And our Heavenly Father promises that he will provide for us.
Instead of focusing all our attention on the noise and fear that the world is throwing at us, let’s instead focus on the truth of this promise.
