Hunger & Thirst

DAY 4 OF 4

Stop At Nothing

In Mark 10:46-52, Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, was on the streets when he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. One very unique thing about this man was his blindness. He was not deaf or dumb, just blind. All he had was his ears and voice. So he used his ears and his voice to shout.

Imagine this, Bartimaeus is sitting by the roadside and the ladies are passing by chatting, “Jesus is coming this way”. He asks, “Which Jesus?” and they respond, “The one who healed the sick and raised the dead”. Bartimaeus says, “Thank you, that is all I need to know”, and he begins to shout. The people hush him, “Be quiet, Jesus only sees people on appointment”. But Bartimaeus, the scripture says, ignored them and shouted even more. And the scripture says ‘and Jesus stopped’!

I pray in the name of Jesus that God will see your desire, your hunger, and that He will stop.

And Jesus stopped! Jesus actually stopped and asked, “What do you want? What do you want me to do for you?” Then Bartimaeus said, “I want to see”, and Jesus healed him.

How badly do you want God's intervention? How badly? The currency of heaven is hunger and thirst. Come hungry—that is what the word of God says.

You can buy things from heaven without money. The currency is not money; your hunger, your thirst determines what flows to you. That is how it works.
