You Have To Forget the Past To Reach Forward
We cannot allow our future to be tainted by the past. Our future must be crystal clear — free of all past hurts and hindrances — so we can take hold of God’s vision for our lives and run with it!
Because of past experiences with grief, failure, and pain, people can lose sight of the great plan and anointing that God always intended for them to walk in.
The devil wants to hurt and malign all of us. Of course, in our own minds, it can seem like we are the ones who have suffered more than anyone else, but that mentality can stop us from moving forward. The devil is a liar — there is always another who has suffered more than we have. The enemy wants to hold us all back from laying hold of what God has for us.
But we shouldn’t let anything that has happened in the past keep us from doing what God wants us to do in our future. No matter what anyone has ever said to you and no matter how much pain you’ve been through, you are still a joint in the Body and you still have a vital supply to give.
The past is the past. What could happen tomorrow? What could happen tonight? What could happen in the next five minutes? We serve God Almighty who is able to do anything! There are miracles in front of you that you don’t know about, but you have to keep moving forward if you are ever going to experience them. And that means you have to forget the past. You cannot do the impossible while you’re weighted down with old baggage of the past.
We can never forget that we have to press forward in this life. And what are we to press toward? The purpose for which Christ Jesus apprehended us (see Philippians 3:12).
