Anchorage: The Seven Storms Overview | Part 1 of 8Намуна
The Storm of Sickness and the Lighthouse of Healing
There is a song that many have tapped their toes to in recent years called “Waymaker” that has these significant lines:
“Even when I don't see it, You're working.
Even when I don't feel it, You're working.
You never stop. You never stop working.”
These words ring true, whether we’re in a community where God is powerfully healing the sick, or whether we’ve rarely heard of such a testimony. He is, indeed, not growing weary in doing good for those who love Him.
The questions, nonetheless, arise.
“Why not here? Why not me? Why not now?”
I know we don’t want to sound egocentric, but I assure you that God absolutely loves our faithful prayers for abundant life and health. Why is this? It’s simple. Any work of healing from sickness or pain is, yes, for our benefit, but actually more about His glory. When He moves, it’s called a miracle. That brings Him glory. When He heals, it’s a sign of the resurrection to come. That is unto His glory.
Reflection
Is there a healing that you have been asking God for? Message a friend right now to stand with you in prayer for this to happen. Stand in confidence that it is His great pleasure to give good gifts to those who ask Him.
