Lord, Help Me Not To...

DAY 7 OF 7

DAY 7
LORD, HELP ME NOT TO SLAP THEIR FACE… AND GET MY JOY BACK!

The number one thing a spirit of offense will steal is your… JOY.

But today, we’re getting our joy back. If you want to begin enJOYing life again, it means you have to let go of all offenses. Stop being negative and joyless. Joy is rooted in who God is.

We must keep moving forward. Whether through the course of this devotional you’ve found yourself identifying with bitterness, unforgiveness, sarcasm, negativity or pride, I want to now charge you with making an action plan to move forward.

So, how do you move forward?

Psalm 119:105 (NIV) says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Read the Word of God, invite Him into every area of your life, and allow Him to illuminate what is not of Him. He'll tell you exactly what you need to do and let go of if you allow Him. Let go of the offenses, and leave them behind. Once done, don’t turn around and pick them back up. When they are dealt with and you’ve repented, THEN moving forward begins.

Don't get into a quarrel with your baristas and don't be a hard client or a difficult customer even though they may have stupid procedures.

Let's be nice, be kind, and keep moving forward.

A PRAYER OF SURRENDER:

I pray, Lord, for all the pain and all the hurts that may have resurfaced while doing this devotional. By the blood of Jesus, we thank you, Lord, that you're washing this hurt and this pain away in the name of Jesus. I pray now that your presence would fill and heal hearts that have been inflamed with pain, hurt or grief. You understand the grief and loss they feel. Holy Spirit, would you come and minister to them, and reveal any roots of bitterness, unforgiveness, unhealthy sarcasm, negativity or pride. Yank that root out of their heart, right now, in the name of Jesus. Pull it out until all the thorns are taken off and removed. I pray that you would seal what you remove with the blood of Jesus, and soften our hearts to your Holy Spirit. Mend it back to where you want it to be. Thank you for this healing in the name of Jesus. Amen.
