Don’t Change The Message
Jeremiah had received a word from the Lord concerning the destiny of Jerusalem and King Zedekiah. The king was fearful from this message and the people were outraged with Jeremiah accusing him with unfounded speculation. He was thrown into a pit of miry clay and slowly sinking in the gooey mess.
Starvation and loneliness would be his fateful demise. Life would have been so much easier and less troubling for Jeremiah if he would just change the message or not say anything at all. We read that God would not allow His messenger to succumb to the will of men.
His truth must be proclaimed because of His great love for us! We must hear from our Lord and speak His Word without reservation, doubt, or fear. Our lives are in His hands and He promised to take care of us.
Prayer: Your Will be done, Lord Jesus. You have given us your message to share with others. Help us not to waver, bend, or refuse the task. Lead us to those you have chosen to hear your message, and we trust you to give us grace to speak your truth. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
