Adulting 101: 5 Tips to SuccessНамуна

1. Make Your Bed.
Mom was right. It’s important to make your bed first thing in the morning. Make your bed and you enter the day with a win and a feeling of accomplishment.
That simple accomplishment turns into a huge encouragement when you walk in the door after a long and frustrating day of work or school. It’s a good feeling to see that bed made and remind yourself that you accomplished at least one thing today. It might even help you look back at the rest of the day more objectively and realize it wasn’t a complete wash.
The Bible says “in all labor there is profit.” (Proverbs 14:23 NASB) You may not see the gain in your workplace as quickly as the simple act of making your bed allowed you to enjoy a fresh bed to crawl into at night, but the moment can be a reminder that God’s word is true. In time, you will see a profit from your efforts on the job or in the classroom.
“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23 NIV
