THE ONE YOU LOVE DEVO
LYRIC EXCERPT:
You take me just as I am
You’d choose me all over again
I am the one You love
I am the one You love
I don’t have to prove anything
There’s room at Your table for me
I am the one You love
I am the one You love
Have you ever felt like you had to prove yourself to be loved? That if you didn’t meet some standard, you’d be rejected?
We’ve all been there, and the pressure to measure up can shake your confidence and leave you feeling isolated. Maybe you’re even going through that right now.
Thankfully, no one expects you to have it together all the time –– not even God. He sent His Son so we didn’t have to carry the weight of being perfect. His love for us isn’t contingent upon what we can or can’t do for Him.
1 John 4 reveals that God doesn’t just love us, but that He is love. Everything He does for us flows from that place.
His love covers the mistakes you’ve made.
His love restores lost things.
His love meets you right where you are.
He loves you — even the parts that you wish weren’t there. And there isn’t anything you can do to make Him love you any more or any less.
You might be ready to throw in the towel, but you don’t have to be afraid of judgment. Whatever you're carrying today, know that you have a loving Father waiting to hear from you. Set some time aside to spend with Him today, and share what’s on your heart.

About this Plan
In Revelation, we see Jesus as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah” and the “Lamb who was slain.” So much of God’s kingdom embodies paradox; even Jesus Himself was sovereign AND He submitted to authority. He’s the beginning AND the end. He isn’t relegated to one or the other. Join us for this 14-day study as we learn about how God’s kingdom and character may surprise us.
