Psalms Of Praise And The WordНамуна
Passion for His Precepts
One of the hallmarks of a genuine move of the Holy Spirit is a love for God’s word among his people. In Psalm 119, King David articulates his love for the scriptures. God’s word is perfect and infallible. It is the greatest treasure, a shining light for those with open hearts. Those who walk in alignment with God’s word experience strength, honor, abundance, and joy. They experience revival as they read and apply the scriptures.
David was passionate for God’s precepts; he yearned for revelation light. He knew that God’s word is fastened to eternity (v. 89, TPT), so he filled his heart with its truth. “I’m a lover of your word,” he proclaimed. Those who can say that with passion will live constantly in an atmosphere of revival.
“My passion and delight is in your word, for I love what you say to me! I long for more revelation of your truth, for I love the light of your word as I meditate on your decrees” (Psalm 119:47–48). Turn these verses into your own prayer today.
Psalm 119:89 The Passion Translation
