The Gospel Connections
Gospel Connections

Gospel Connection 2
2. The story centers around the fact that Jesus comes forth from a virgin womb, which had "not known a man" (Luke 1:34).
2. The story centers around the fact that Jesus came forth from a "virgin" tomb, where "no man had lain" (Luke 23:53).
Gospel Connection 3
3. After his birth, Jesus is wrapped in swaddling bands (which would have given him a mummiform appearance) and then laid in a rock-hewn manger (which would have resembled a sarcophagus) (Luke 2:7).
