Ending the Year on PurposeНамуна
There’s a saying that I often heard while growing up in Alabama: “Leave right.” My three siblings and I grew up in a family where life lessons and values from our grandparents were taught using simple statements like this one. Many of the lessons from family dinner remain in my heart today, but the one that I often revisit is “leave right.” My takeaway from this saying was that the way I finish one thing will directly impact how I start something else.
Too many times, we decide that we will wait until January 1 to enact a new purpose or a real change in our lives. It’s my hope that as another year’s end draws near, we’ll live with a purposeful approach now rather than attempt to wait for the next. We have to make intentional decisions today in order to see lasting change and truly experience a fulfilled life.
Over the next seven days, we’ll journey to live more purposefully in five key areas. They are designed to slowly work from the outside (physical and relational) to the inside (spiritual and emotional). There's no better time than now to allow God to lead us to a life truly worth living!

About this Plan
Adapted from The Last Thirty Devotional, this plan is a journey designed to challenge readers to end their year with greater purpose and intentionality. We will not wake up on New Year's Day and suddenly have better eating habits, relational habits, or work-related habits. We have to make intentional decisions today in order to see lasting change and truly experience a fulfilled life tomorrow.
