Finding Happiness in Christ (Series 1)Намуна
The happiest people on earth
Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. (Psalm 145:2)
An English newspaper once asked its readers the following question, “Who is the happiest person on earth?”
The four answers that won prizes are as follows:
• A little boy who is building a castle out of the sand
• An artist or craftsman who whistles for his completed work
• A mother bathing her baby after such a busy day
• A doctor who has just completed a difficult and dangerous operation to save his patient
The editor of the newspaper was surprised to find that no one answered a king, emperor, millionaire, or other people who were rich and in a position to be the happiest people on earth.
W. Beran Wolfe once said:
“If you observe a happy person, you will find that person is building a boat, writing a song, teaching his child, growing dahlias in her garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the Gobi Desert. He will not seek happiness like a collar button rolled into a radiator. He will not try to find happiness as if happiness is a goal. He only realizes that he is happy in his 24-hour life.”
Reflection: Happiness is not an expensive "stuff" nor a difficult situation to have. It just takes the power struggle to be thankful and enjoy every moment of the day.
Live with purpose! Strive for peace, love and joy in your heart!
