Wiles of the Enemy
You are anointed, chosen, and consecrated. There is a sacred purpose and destiny given to you by the Lord. When you realize this truth, it will empower you to go where God sends you. David was a man who lived the impossible. When you live out Gods’ plan for you, it becomes a threat to the enemy, because he cannot prevail against a man who is backed by the Creator of the universe. This is why the enemy will try to destroy or distort the life that is made possible in Christ Jesus for you. Very often, the attack is manifested in the flesh and sometimes through our closest relationships. For David it was through his leader, & predecessor - King Saul. Saul intended to kill David on many occasions, in many different ways. Did you know why the enemy constantly tries to steal, kill and destroy? Because he does not have the power to create on his own. He can only steal what God has created and designed, and then kill and destroy potential and powerful lives. The story of David describes how King Saul hurled spears at David. The enemy will try to hurl you down with spears of criticism, insults, and accusation. Unlike other weapons, spears are thrown from a much closer range. Where are your spears coming from? They could be from your nearest and dearest relationship, or through arguments and harsh conversations. Do not allow these spears to destroy who you are. You are precious to God. Gods’ plan is to prosper you and not harm you. His intentions for your life are good and not evil.
God can turn every evil intent for the good of those who love Him. Romans 8:28 mentions that God works ALL things for the good. God’s goodness and purpose is sovereign over your life when you follow Him. Think of a bad situation you’ve been in, or may be in right now. God is turning it around for your good. God can heal and restore you. Nothing is too hard for the Lord.
