Justice for AllНамуна
Ever seen The Sandlot? Anyone can feel awesome when their team wins. But there's something special about a team winning when they weren't predicted to win. It's a classic underdog story. The movie follows a similar story, some scrappy kids faced a common enemy. The underdog rising to the top, the team that no one believed in working harder than anyone for victory and achieving it . . . that great feeling is why there are so many successful movies with similar plot lines. We love to see the "little guy" win.
Sometimes, when you look around the world, it can feel like God won't ever bring justice to the "underdog." It can even feel like followers of Jesus seeking justice are always on the "losing" end. With every moment of being mocked for standing with the underdogs, or plans of justice delayed, it can take all the energy we have to keep going. The fight for justice takes endurance and patience. The discouragement we face, though, is not the end of the story. God's written more to the story!
When you feel discouraged, how are you reminded that God's justice restores what's broken?
