I Have Questions

DAY 10 OF 20

"We have nothing to fear but fear itself." – Franklin D. Roosevelt. When we are fearful, it is hard to see the truth, speak the truth, or believe the truth. In a world where there just seems to be more to fix than time and ability allow, oftentimes fear gets the best of us. When we operate out of fear, it is hard to operate out of love. Time and time again, we are reminded not to fear and trust that God is with us. Yet, we can still be left asking, "Where is God right now?"

When we are afraid of losing a loved one, or we're failing at school, experiencing heartbreak, losing something we worked hard to get, or feeling like we're holding the weight of the world on our shoulders, it's not easy to simply not be afraid. Even in those moments, Jesus offers us a chance to shed our fears and offers clarity. Next time you feel gripped by fear, pause, focus on what's true, and then move forward.

What decisions have you made when you were afraid?

I Have Questions

In this 4-week devotional series from the Grow Curriculum, we'll look at four big questions we're sometimes afraid to ask, and what God says about them.
