TO BE WORTHY BEFORE GOD
Revelation 3: 8
“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
God's message to the seven churches written by the apostle John is a message addressed to the church of God today. What happened to the seven churches is a picture of the condition of the Christian church today. What does God want the seven churches to do? God wanted them to listen to Him and repent.
God only wants people who are worthy before Him: those who are ready to be raptured- to meet the coming of Jesus Christ for the second time. What are worthy people like? The people who are worthy before God are the people who do God's will in this day and age. Indeed, to do the will of God we will go through uncomfortable times. Why? Because this flesh wants to be entertained and do things that are not good.
To be worthy people we have to venture out of this vain life. The suffering we experience will not be comparable to all of the blessings God's promises bring.
Worthy people will always try to live in a manner that is pleasing to God. A worthy person is the same as one who has been betrothed. There is a bond such that we can no longer live as haphazardly as before. Let us persevere and become a people who are worthy before God.
Worthy people will always try to live to please God.
