BE THE DOERS OF THE WORD
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22).
Have we ever heard the term "NATO"? Every one of us must have heard this term or even have got this nickname from other people around us. "NATO" stands for "No Action Talk Only" which refers to someone who talks only and does nothing else.
In our lives, sometimes it's easy for us to say words or make promises. It is a challenge to carry out, act on what we have said, or keep our promise. Often we fail to live up to and keep what we have said and promised.
Don't become “NATO” children of God. Don't stop at the stage where we just hear the word or become just smart enough to share the word with others without living what we have heard and taught. Doing the word of God is one of the signs that we are the believers or the followers of Christ. It may not be easy and there will be challenges to do this, however, we must strengthen our hearts to keep doing the truth in all situations.
Today, be the doers of the word (living the word) because only by being the doers and living the word, the word will have a different weight of power. The word will not only bless us but also change us through the example of our changed lives.
The living and changing word is the result of living the word itself.
