Easter: The Cross Before and AfterНамуна
It's Time to Go
God equips us for the journeys he has prepared us for! His equipping resources in our lives are for a purpose. He makes that purpose clear in His final words to His followers in the moments before He ascended into heaven. Matthew records what is known as The Great Commission. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Luke shares different details of the same message in Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the most remote part of the earth."
These are the marching orders for all followers of Jesus. This is what we are prepared for. This is why we are equipped and what we are equipped for. We have the sacred responsibility and holy obligation to "go into all the world and make disciples."
The Cross is all about our forgiveness, our redemption, our restoration. And it’s for everyone else too. Our assignment is to make sure everyone has the opportunity to hear, believe, and receive the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
After Easter, after our encounter with the risen Savior, after being equipped for our life journey as His witnesses, we must carry out the message of Jesus, teach others, and be the light.

About this Plan
Easter is about an encounter, a time when we experience the hope and love of a Savior who sacrificed His life for us, despite our deepest struggles, betrayals, and failures. Easter is a time to share the Good News of the empty tomb and the grace only found in our risen Savior.
