DAY 4 OF 23

 Light or Darkness?

Proverbs 4:18

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

According to the dictionary, a path is a way of life or the way a person walks throughout their life. King Solomon highlighted the difference between the paths of the righteous and the wicked.

The righteous means someone who lives in accordance to what is right in the sight of God. King Solomon taught that the path of a righteous person is like the light of dawn that shines in increasing brightness until the full light of day. Sunrise indicates a new day that starts with the initial beams of light at dawn. As the day goes on, the light will increase even brighter. The path of the righteous is full of light and they see clearly where to walk.

The path of the wicked is like darkness. It is like the earth without the sun, the moon or the stars. Someone who walks in the dark tends to stumble and fall down.

May your lifestyle, words, attitude and thoughts be always in the truth that shines the light of God.

Prayer

Dear God, guide me so that I will always choose the righteous path. Let it be less of me and more of You all throughout my life. Amen.
