DAY 3 OF 3

AS FOR THE LORD

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men (Colossians 3:23)

It's so easy for us to get caught up in our daily routine. When we are busy doing tasks to meet the target and deadline, we become trapped in routines and easily worn out. In our work we are often facing all forms of competition of the world as well as the responsibility. Yet,our work is meaningful to God.

In Bible stories, we will often find that work and worship are closely related. In fact, the word "to work" in Hebrew is sometimes referred to as 'worship'.

The Bible mentions that we are the Messiah’s letter to the world, or 'Ambassadors of the Kingdom of God'. The person who holds the duty of an ambassador should be able to represent the country he stands for. And that is why wherever we are placed in the world to work, our work should be worship to God.

This is important in our attitudes and efforts and the quality of our production. Our work is to bring Him glory!

Let us work earnestly as for the Lord and not for man.
