Everyday Life in Revelation: Part 3 HeavenНамуна
John is in the heavenly throne room. He has been brought up to see what must take place in the affairs of the world, but there is a problem. There is a scroll at God’s right hand. The contents, so far, have not been revealed to us. This scroll has seven seals locking it, keeping the contents hidden. Here is the problem: a search was conducted for the individual who had authority to break the seven seals to open the scroll. In all of creation, no one was found with such authority.
John begins to weep, because he knows the situation is dire and the scroll must be opened. His weeping does not last long though. One comes forth who has the authority to open the scroll, read the scroll, and to carry out the message on the scroll. Verse 5 says it succinctly, “The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.” Jesus alone is worthy to open the scroll.
God is not about hiding His ways, His will and His presence from His people. He sent King Jesus. God is knowable and His ways can be known when we come to Jesus and seek to know the Word of God. Then and only then will we know the will of God.
Have you put your faith in Jesus and His gospel? Do you make it a focus to know His word and incorporate it into your life?

About this Plan
Revelation is not just a blueprint for the future. It spoke to the church in John's day, and it speaks to us in our day. Revelation has a message and meaning for us every day. This is a 5-day study exploring the throne room in heaven when John received a series of visions for the church to treasure.
