Quick Question: Why Do Bad Things Happen?

DAY 9 OF 10

Three words really stand out to me in this passage - always, never, and all.

These words are powerful. We are to always be joyful. I don’t know about you, but I am not always joyful. In fact, there are times when I feel anything but joy. When I read those three words - always be joyful - I instantly think, “How in the world can I do that?”

I love how Paul gives us the answer in the next verse. Never stop praying. I can only imagine what life would be like if I never stopped praying. Can you imagine what this world would look like if Christians lived this out? If we never stopped praying, the anger, fear, and pain we feel would turn to joy, compassion, and peace. We would be lead to always be thankful for all things in our life.

I know living out this passage can be challenging. However, if we get better and better at living this out, the world around us would be a very different place.

Challenge:

Today we challenge you to never stop praying. Stop seeing prayer as something you only do at certain times of the day and start having an all-day conversation with God. Remember, you can talk to God anytime and anywhere. He is always ready to listen to you.
