Grace Was ThereНамуна
One of the great details of God’s Grace to us, is that it is a free gift, not based on works. In Ephesians 2:8 it says, “For it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” The moment God’s Grace becomes performance-based, it loses its power and influence on our lives. But what beauty and freedom there is in accepting the free gift of Jesus and Grace, and all of its benefits.
The second exchange that occurred on the cross was the exchange of Adam’s CURSE for Abraham’s BLESSING, for all to receive. From the start of creation, God always intended for us to be blessed. That is why in Genesis 1:28 it says: “God blessed them; and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful.’” Once Adam and Eve sinned, a curse came upon all humanity and even the earth. Heartache, misery, strife, disease, pain and oppression now became a part of our daily living.
Though we are first doomed because of the rebellion that took place in the garden, through Jesus we are grafted into the blessing God spoke over Abraham and his descendants. That is why when we receive salvation, the blessing God gave to Abraham is given to us through Jesus and we no longer function under the curse of the earth.
Speak these words over your life: “I no longer take part or am bound by the curse brought upon me by Adam, and now receive the blessing of Abraham given to me by Jesus and His salvation. I have been set free from the curse of sin and now strive in the blessing of Grace. Jesus has made this possible for me so I receive His full blessing, and I leave every curse behind me.”
