Woman to Woman: Three L’s of DisciplemakingНамуна
Listen to Her!
Listening is also important when we’re in our discipling meetings. When I walk alongside another woman, I need to listen to what she is sharing.
God listens. We were created in His image to listen and be listened to. We learn how to listen by having someone listen to us! Sadly, having someone truly listen is a rare occurrence for many. To listen well is to seek to really know and understand the person we’re meeting with.
The longer I disciple, the more convinced I am that the most important part of our time—after what the Lord says, of course—isn’t what I say, but hearing what she will say. What is truly on her heart? Often the Lord guides our time through the things the person I’m meeting with is sharing. It’s much more effective to “scratch where she is itching.”
A discipleship interaction should never be an information dump! One of the most powerful components of Life-to-Life disciplemaking is the relationship. One of the best ways to keep cultivating that relationship is to listen!

About this Plan
If you had 15 minutes to share the key things you’ve learned about helping other women grow spiritually, what would you choose? When I was asked to do this, the Lord directed me to three “L’s” that have been crucial in my Life-to-Life® relationships. Over the next five days, let’s look closely at three L’s of women discipling women.
