A U-Turn for Your Finances

DAY 2 OF 3

Here are a few practical tips that you can use to cut back on your expenses and save money. These will free you up to become a better, wiser kingdom steward of your financial resources:

  1. Pay off your debt starting with the smallest bill first. I know it is easier said than done, but a lot of money these days is going to pay interest on credit cards which makes it difficult for people to save.
  2. Cut back on how much you spend on entertainment.
  3. Use cash. These days you rarely see anyone paying with cash. But using cash as your primary method of payment gives you a way to keep track of how much you really have.
  4. Pay off your car or your home early. You can save a tremendous amount of money simply by making additional payments on any car or home loan which will be applied strictly to the principle on the loan.
  5. Cook at home and eat leftovers. Americans spend roughly 1/3 of their annual food budget on eating out.

These are just some of the strategies you can employ to cut back on your expenses and redirect those funds to paying down your debt or to saving.

Which of these strategies are you ready to implement to start saving?
