Real Talk, Real FreedomНамуна

Pain is an incredibly powerful force. It shapes us and our lives for better or worse. We all have reminders of the pain – triggers that cause us to react and respond. However, how we deal with our pain determines our ability to move forward in life.
Restoration and healing are processes. Moving forward can look like identifying personal pain that has been difficult to pinpoint or articulate due to family dynamics, embarrassments or shame; a sense of loneliness or isolation due to the nature of events and inaccessibility to answers.
Regardless of the extent of the pain you or someone close to you may be facing, we must rely on God. Desperation paves the way to God doing a deep work within us all.
Questions
Have you found yourself reacting rather than responding in a way that seems out of character?
Have you experienced a breakthrough moment with the Lord? When was the last time you cried out to God honestly in desperation?
Lord, help us to rely not on ourselves, but upon you as we chart our course forward toward healing.
