John 3:16 Reflections by  Emem Washington

John 3:16 is a well-known and often-quoted verse, though it’s not always referred to as a Christmas verse. 

I love personalizing this scripture! 

For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world (Emem), that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Christmas is a time of year when there’s an increase in giving and receiving. This verse highlights how much God loves us. The magnitude of His love can be seen in the gift He gave us, and in the additional gift we receive if we believe - Eternal Life.
