THE CREATOR KNOWS HIS CREATION
If I need my car fixed I turn to an auto repair shop. On top of that I make sure they actually know how to fix my specific car and don’t promise more than they can keep. In spite of that simple logic we turn to doubtful sources for guidance when it comes to our mind, relations and sexuality.
We have already stated how crucial our relations are to our lives. Still we spend so little time, resource and preparation to give it an honest shot of succeeding. We turn to reality shows, influencers and pornography to feed our curiosity and lust, without giving it any further thought how it will affect my present and future relationships.
The one who’s most suited in helping you build healthy, lasting relations is he who created you. No matter former failures, wounds and present relations Jesus wants the best for you. He knows how to fix you, make you whole and set you up for your future relations. He created you for fellowship. Already before the fall Adam felt a need for fellowship. It’s not just a mechanism for survival but it's part of being made in God's image. God being three in one means he doesn’t need anyone else to experience love and fellowship. It’s part of his very being.
It’s not long before Adam and Eve chooses to listen to other voices than God’s. They allow themselves to be deceived by the devils misguiding assumptions and are forced to leave Eden, the very good intended for them by God himself.
Who or what are you turning to for advice when it comes to relationships and sexuality?
