Rise Up & Stand Firm—A Study of 1 Peter (Part 3)Намуна
A Beautiful Witness
Ready to dig into God’s Word?
Pray:
Holy Spirit, thank You for Your living Word. Please teach me from it today.
Today’s Goal:
Our goal today is to grow as a beautiful witness for Christ Jesus.
Study Tip:
If you come across a verse, word, or passage you don’t quite understand, that’s normal! Don’t be discouraged. Instead, consider making notes of them and doing some research to gain better understanding.
Read and Write:
The Apostle Peter has shown us our incredible salvation and identity in Christ and how that determines how we should live before others (especially our persecutors) in our governments, cultures, and jobs. Now, he will show us how to live godly lives at home. As you read 1 Peter 3:1-7, take notes.
- Mark or list what wives and husbands are urged to do.
- In your own words, write what godly submission is and why it matters.
Reflect:
- Why do you think gentleness is referred to as beautiful?
- Describe the opposite of a gentle and quiet spirit.
- What do you think Peter means by the phrase “giving way to fear” in verse six? (Remember that Peter’s encouragement is primarily for wives with an unbelieving husband.)
Apply:
- Based on the attributes of a godly wife and husband (even if you’re not married), how will you rise up and stand firm?
About this Plan

In fact, part three of this 4-part Bible Plan from Pastor Amy Groeschel is designed to help you grow in your knowledge of God, expand your love for Him, and give you the courage to live out the truth of Scripture in every season—especially the heavy ones.
