Work and RestНамуна
Wicked people find no rest
Rest is not just taking a pause from work. It is also about experiencing inner peace. That peace, says God in Isaiah 57, is not for the wicked. They can’t find real rest. The same observation is made by Job: “Man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble” (Job 14:1). Naturally, if people remain just as they were born, they won’t have peace in their hearts. They are filled with unrest and discontent. And that will go on eternally: “The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name” (Revelation 14:11). “Worshipers of the beast” are people who prefer following Satan over following God. This choice will result in eternal unrest and suffering.
God offers an alternative. If we give our hearts to Him, He will renew them and fill them with His Holy Spirit. He will replace the natural restless inclinations of men (like strife, jealousy, fits of anger, and envy) with the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace…) (Galatians 5:22).
Have you already found rest in God?

About this Plan
As long as humanity exists, work has been part of daily life. Work can be a blessing, but it can also be exhausting and hard. Therefore, people also need rest. And rest is more than just ‘a break from work’; it is also about inner peace. Ultimately, this rest can only be found in God. Let’s see what the Bible says about work and rest.
