Waiting With Hope
Do you hate waiting? Do you ever get impatient, wondering when God is going to act? Are you ever so discouraged by the wait that you're ready to give up? The psalmist acknowledges the wait, but also knows something of the hope that makes the wait bearable. His hope - and ours - needs to be in the Lord who makes all things possible in His time!
Prayer: Lord I confess that too often I think my time is my own, and I forget that my times are in your hands. I want to make all the decisions; I want to determine the what, how, and when. Thank you for the reminder from your word that you are ultimately my help and defense. With your help, I can wait for that day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
