Hope Devotional In ASL

DAY 2 OF 5

Hope follows trust. When we learn to trust God and His plans for us, we can experience His peace and faithfulness. It might look like your situation is at rock bottom, but that is when God does His best work. God works on His time, He walks in patience. Any moment, during your season of trials, if you feel the need to do more, that is the enemy feeding lies. Satan wants us to feel rushed and anxious, yet God calls us to walk, be still, and be at peace in His rest. Faith isn’t a marathon, it's a walk in the park. Hebrews says “faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance for what we do not see.” We need to start hoping again and trusting that God is faithful. He is faithful through the ages, He remains the same! And because of His faithfulness, we can be confident that when we place our hope in Him, we will find rest.

Challenge: Journal the times in your life you have witnessed God’s faithfulness. What in your life is keeping you from trusting God? If you are experiencing doubt, I encourage you to tell a family member, or friend, and ask them to pray that the Spirit will awaken your faith.
