Depart From EvilНамуна
Depart From Evil.
“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:7 (KJV)
Fear God. Depart from evil. Honor and reverence the Lord. Proverbs 3:7 (AMPC) declares, “Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.” Completely turn away from evil — in every area of your life. Turn away from evil in business. Turn away from evil in ministry. Turn away from evil in your family. Turn away from evil in your marriage. Choose to let your life and light reflect Christ — at all times.
Choose to reverently fear and honor the Lord in every aspect of your life. Proverbs 3:7 (NLT) declares, “Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.” Don’t be impressed by your own earthly, carnal way of thinking — choose to seek and surrender to God’s Way of doing things. Choose to seek Christ.
Choose to depart from evil in private and in public. Choose to surrender your whole heart to Christ. Proverbs 3:7 (NIV) declares, “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” Choose to shun evil. In other words, let God remove the taste of evil from your mouth. Choose to crave and pursue Christ. Crave what Christ craves. Pattern yourself after His Word. Pattern yourself after His Way and let Christ lead your path.
