Trouble MakersНамуна
//Holy Unrest//
Have you ever wondered, “God what do you want me to do in life? What’s my purpose?" I know those questions have been a driving force in my life. Even when God answered me, I still felt like something was missing.
You may feel lost because the booming voice of God has yet to command you to be a doctor, or have a passion for kids with disabilities, or have a burden to go into ministry.... the list goes on!
I am here to tell you 2 things:
1. You do not need an intense, life-altering, spiritual encounter to know the burden/passion God is giving you.
I know, it’s surprising, but the answer to the question that has been burdening you for who knows how long, is ready for you to discover now!
There is a passage of the Bible called The Great Commission, Matthew 28:18-20; we’ll read after this devo.
To summarize, God has called all believers to MAKE DISCIPLES, BAPTIZE, & TEACH. There are a lot of ways to fulfill this calling: talking about how Jesus changed your life in daily convos with others, walking alongside friends and helping them pursue the outward expression of an inward commitment to follow Jesus, and using what God has taught you to help others.
2. While we want to follow God’s will for our lives, He still has the ability to use you in whatever path you take... He gave us free will!
Even if you follow Jesus, you still have free will! He designed us from the beginning to make our own decisions. So when trying to decide what you should do with the rest of your life, consult Matthew 28:18-20. Can a nurse still fulfill The Great Commission? What about a construction worker? Or a lawyer? Teacher?
The answer is YES!
Pursue GOD’S will while exercising YOUR free will. I can’t tell you every detail of how you will fulfill God’s call on your life - no one can - so continue to ask for answers. And remember, He has already called you to The Great Commission.
1) REFLECT: What actions can you take to help discover how God wants to use you?
2) REACH: Who is someone in your life that could use a friend? How can you be a friend to them?
3) RESPOND: Pray, “Jesus, I pray that you use this time to help reveal the passions you have given me. Help me to feel confident in the call to tell others about you in whatever school, job, or stage of life I’m in. Thank you for all you have done in my life. Amen.”

About this Plan
It’s time to upset the status quo. Following Jesus means going against the flow, being a misfit, causing trouble. It’s time to become trouble makers.
