Great Adventurers (Week 5)Намуна
Day Five - A Willing Heart
Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.
Mary believed all that the angel had told her; what she had heard was so incredible!
READ:
'An Angel Visits Mary' in the Beginners Bible (pages 266 - 270) or Luke 1:26-38
Mary was so humble and said to the angel “I love God. I will do what He has chosen me to do!”
How amazing it must be to know that God has chosen you to do something so wonderful!
Before Mary was born, God knew that Mary would be the one to be the mother of Jesus!
Before you were born, God knew all the plans that He has for you, all the wonderful Adventures He has planned for you - isn’t that amazing?
God’s plans for us are like a map - when we follow God’s plans they lead us to something wonderful!
Mary was about to have the Greatest Adventure she had ever known - Mary is a Great Adventurer.
ASK:
Maybe you could make a map - just like Alice and Ellie - and think about all the wonderful adventures you have been on so far and then dream about the Adventures that God may take you on in the future.
Chat with your grownups and ask them to help you remember and dream.
Don't forget to ask your grownups to send us photos of your maps on Facebook or Instagram!
REMEMBER:
‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26)
SAY:
I’m an adventurer,
I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord,
I will follow wherever you lead.
I won’t stop, I’ve been set free.
In Jesus name, Amen!

About this Plan
In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Mary and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
