DAY 6 OF 7

“God Delegated.”

In the early years of Jesus’s ministry, people came from around the country to hear Him teach. He was famous, but the miraculous thing is, He chose to impart His magnificent glory to each and every believer for the express purpose of making Himself known to the world. Take a close look at Jesus's prayer in John 17.

When Jesus prayed to the father, He told His father—not asked, but told Him— that the glory the father had given to Him, He was now transferring to us. Its important that we realize the promises of Jesus are received by grace, through faith, and not by our works. The common definition of “grace” is “the unearned and unmerited favor of God.” We had nothing to do with the glory that Jesus decided to bestow upon us. It was totally underserved on our part, and yet, it was His desire to do so. If we miss this truth, we will never be able to believe that the promise is ours for the taking. We’ll continually feel that we need to do something to earn it and never measure up, living a life below what God desires for us.

Let’s now take a look at that glory that Jesus imparted to us. The Greek word for “glory” is doxa and means the “opinion of: the kingly majesty which belongs to him as supreme ruler; majesty in the sense of the absolute perfection of the deity.” 1
Read that again and realize that Jesus undeservedly gave God’s opinion of Him—the spotless, blameless beloved son—to you and to me.

Tell me again how the church cannot be visible, famous, and victorious?

About this Plan

#FamousChurch

What Jesus bought is so much better than what we can build. What if Jesus paid for His Church to be famous, instead of living mundane, non-consequential lives? What if we've just never learned to abound? This plan unfolds Jesus's remarkable design for HIS Church based on His Word.
