DAY 4 OF 17

What are you praying and believing God for?

What are you praying for and how do you pray?

Are you persistent?

Do you keep on asking and asking or do you give up easily?

Jesus is teaching us something important about prayer in Luke 18:1-8. Jesus told this parable so that people will learn how to be persistent. If we believe that God is all powerful and has the answers to what we need, this alone should be sufficient to motivate us to keep on praying and not give up. However, there is a greater truth in this parable; God is not an unjust judge, but He is a loving father with His very own sons and daughters. This is why Jesus told His disciples this parable to motivate them; to show them that it is necessary to always pray and to never give-up.

Let me encourage you today. If you've been praying about something and you haven't seen the answer or circumstances change yet; pray again. Ask again. You are not a “nobody” to God. You matter to Him. Let us stir our faith to ask again, today.

PRAYER

Father, I ask that you stir my heart to believe, pray and exercise my faith again. Lord, I speak restoration to vision that has been shelved, to hopes that have been dashed and to prayers that feel like they have gone unanswered. Thank You that You are a loving Father and that I am not a “nobody” to You. As Your son/ daughter, I come boldly before Your throne of grace, so that I may receive mercy and find grace in this time of need. Thank You in advance for testimonies of circumstances changing and situation shifting. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

About this Plan

Word for the Day

In this devotional series, Pastors Russell and Sam together with other leaders from the Planetshakers Church team share how God wants us to live under His Light and not the darkness of a situation. Let us live under the light of who our God is. He is our healer, our redeemer, our freedom, and our joy. In the year of acceleration, He wants to bring light to your situation!
