CONCRETE & CRANES: A 7-Day Devotional for KidsНамуна
Day 6 - Escaping Temptation
Dakota was surprised when he read Matthew 6:13. Does God bring temptation? And talking about the evil one sounded scary. Dakota decided to ask his Bible study teacher about it.
“Those are good questions,” Mr. Bill said. “You are right. God does not tempt people. James 1:13 assures of that. But we live in a world where we are all sinners and sin does exist. The evil one is Satan. He does exist, but remember that God is more powerful and God is in control. We make the choice between obeying God or following the temptations of the evil one. One of my favorite Bible verses is 1 Corinthians 10:13 that promises us that God will provide a way out of temptation if we are willing to take it. Never forget. God is all-powerful and He loves us. He will help us when we trust Him.”

About this Plan
When I think about the kids in my life, both in my family and at my church, I pray that each of them will discover the strong foundation of love that Jesus is. This 7-day devotional specifically focuses on prayer, a huge part of the framework of our faith. This excerpt is part of the book Concrete and Cranes: 100 Devotions Building on the Love of Jesus.
