Like Me

DAY 4 OF 21

Chasing the wind sounds exhausting, doesn’t it? It seems like a lot of effort with no real guarantee of success. That’s exactly what it’s like when we choose to chase after what others have. It’s exhausting because there will always be someone with more stuff, more talent, more money, more intelligence, more athleticism, more…everything. In other words, that wish list of what we want that others have? It will never go away.

The good news is that we don’t have to keep chasing, keep running, or keep living this way. We can choose to be content with what God has given us and find peace. Today, when you feel comparison start to create unhappiness, remember that God didn’t create you to chase the wind. He made you to chase Him and He is worth running after!

About this Plan

Like Me

We all have a tendency to walk into a room asking questions like, “Who is like me?” or “Who is better than/worse than/different than me?” As we’ll see in this 21-day devotional, comparison not only keeps us from liking others, it holds us back from being able to like ourselves! And the further we move away from comparison and toward contentment, the more we’ll discover, “There’s no one like me.”
