God Is Still Working
Ecclesiastes 3 starts with, “There is a time for everything,” and continues with an explanation of what ‘everything’ entails. If we read carefully, Ecclesiastes 3 doesn’t talk only about the moments we like, but also the moments we tend not to like. It’s not only about what’s perceived as beneficial to us, but also about losses; not only about freedom, but also about boundaries; not only about birth, but also about death.
Ecclesiastes 3 presents us with all aspects of life. It tries to describe ‘everything’ we will go through in this life.
No matter the season we are in right now, God has promised that ‘everything’ is beautiful in its time, as long as we believe in His faithfulness and goodness. We may try to understand what God has done from the beginning to the end with all our limitations. But our time in this world is way too short compared to eternity, so it’s challenging for us to see things from heaven’s perspective.
In the Bible, God told us that He will do what He has spoken; He will fulfill what He has promised. He doesn’t waver, lie, or change His mind. He never grows tired or weary, and no one can fathom His understanding. And He only tells us the truth. Therefore, we need to trust in His timing.
Many of you might be in the middle of your struggles, fears, and anxieties now, facing whatever it is in front of you. I pray that you will not lose hope, even though you don’t understand why it is happening. Always know that God is still working even when you can’t see it. He is doing something even when you don’t feel it. He has promised that He will give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. People who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
In the middle of your storm, I pray that you will soar on wings like eagles; you will run and not grow weary; you will walk and not be faint, in the name of Jesus. One day, you will testify that God is good and He makes everything beautiful in its time.
