Fear Is Kryptonite to BusinessНамуна
Fear Grows Through Repetition
Fear is a tool of Satan designed to destroy believers and non-believers alike. Therefore, in times of great distress our mission is to stop the growth of fear in our hearts. We stop fear’s growth by cutting off its food source which is repetition.
Let's develop this idea by looking at the connection between faith and fear. According to Hebrews 11:1, faith is a positive belief in something good happening to us whereas fear is a negative belief in something bad happening to us. They are the same force going in opposite directions.
In Mark 9:23 we learn that faith makes all things possible, which means faith produces success in our business calling. However, we learn in Job 3:25-26 that fear brings the things we are afraid of into our lives which will produce failure in our business. Since faith and fear are the same force going in opposite directions, they grow the same way. So let's see how faith grows in order to learn how fear grows.
In Romans 10:17 Paul teaches that faith comes by hearing the Word of God, which means faith grows through hearing positive words from God. Conversely, fear grows through hearing negative words.
God instructs Joshua to meditate day and night on His word so Joshua can have good success. Following this concept, we can easily see that faith grows through constant meditation on positive words from God. Likewise, fear grows through constant meditation on negative words from the enemy in our world.
This means that both faith and fear grow by repetition. To stop the growth of fear we must stop the repetition of hearing negative words. For example, we can stop listening to constant news reports; constantly reading the opinions of others on social media; or frequent communication with family or friends who speak words of destruction, death, and confusion. Stopping these activities will significantly stop the repetition of fear in our minds.
As living, thinking beings, we are constantly meditating on something. Once we stop fear meditating, we must replace it with meditations that bring faith, like reading God's word and positive discussions with those who support our calling.
About this Plan
To succeed in the business that God has placed in our hearts, we must have faith. However, the enemy of faith is fear. Both cannot be in us at the same time. In this three-day devotional we will examine some scriptures about fear so we can kick it out of our lives. When fear is gone, faith can come so we can succeed in life.
