Romans 12:21 tells us to not be overcome by evil. We should not allow evil to overwhelm us or steal our joy. Rather, we should prevail over the power of evil by reflecting Christ through the way we live. We overcome evil, not only by standing up to those who are abusing authority, but also by keeping our lives free from things that easily pull us away from God. 

How can you show kindness to your community this week? Do not allow the evil in the world to discourage you from sharing the love of Christ. God has placed you here to do good and to give Him glory. We can overcome evil by staying the course and trusting in the Lord who gives us strength.

Father God, thank You for the truth that You are our Great Overcomer. I praise You for giving me the ability to overcome evil with good. Thank You for fighting my battles for me. Help me to always remember that You are with me. Help me to shine the light of Christ wherever I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
