The Secret Power of GraceНамуна
Grace Is Amazing!
Okay, yesterday you learned a little, tiny snippet of what grace is. You learned that it’s based on the goodness of God, not the goodness of you. And you learned that it’s something good you get when you were expecting something bad! And—hey—it’s really amazing.
Watch Quizman as he explains a little more about what’s so amazing about grace. Then, read on to find out what God’s amazing grace has to do with you.
Jesus came to earth, lived a sinless life, and died to give His own blood as the way to tear down the walls of separation that sin created between God and humans. His blood has a way of covering over sins, through God’s amazing grace. It means that anyone who asks for forgiveness of their sins through Jesus can be made right with God—friendship with God Himself restored!
God’s grace steps through the walls and cleans up the mess sin makes. God’s grace says, “You chose to do things I asked you not to do. You chose to think things about yourself and others that I asked you not to think. But I will forgive all of that and will make you My own son or daughter if you just ask.”
It’s a miracle! It’s the path to closeness to God, Himself! The one who created you wants to be close to you! He doesn’t make you beg. He doesn’t make you live a perfect life first. He just invites you to come to Him, ask forgiveness, and live your life loving Him and your neighbor as yourself. He is full of grace—and it’s for you!
Ask yourself: Are there any sins or wrong choices that I’m a little bit afraid to even ask forgiveness for? How would it feel to accept God’s grace instead of guilt? What’s the most amazing thing about grace?
Challenge yourself: Remember that paper from yesterday with things you think are awesome about God written on it? Grab it right now! Today, write down three things you think are amazing about grace. Maybe that it’s free? Or that it makes you friends with the Creator of the Universe? Or maybe that it feels so good to be free from guilty feelings? Write them down! Remember to save your paper someplace safe. You’ll need it again tomorrow.
Pray: God, thank You for the amazingness of Your grace. I can’t believe it’s mine just because I ask for it. But it is! You’re amazing! Your grace is amazing! Your love for me is amazing! Thank You for everything amazing You’ve done for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
